WMS · Fulfillment

Stage it. Ship it. Every case accounted for.

Fulfillment in the ANNEX ORBIS WMS moves reserved stock to a staging lane, holds damaged cases aside with what happened, and sends each shipment to the customer order to be confirmed. Any step can be corrected with a reason, and the original stays in history.

Where it works

Steps in the browser. Counts in the apps.

Fulfillment runs in the web WMS, on a computer or in a tablet’s browser. The tablet and mobile apps carry the same reservations and Attention queue as lists you can check anywhere in the building.

Today, device by device

  • WebIn testingStaging, damage, shipment, corrections, the saved-step retry and the Attention queue. On a computer, or in a tablet’s browser at 768 px and wider.
  • TabletIn testingThe Warehouse area lists reservations with picked, shipped, damaged and still-allocated counts, plus the Attention queue. Read-only; the steps happen in the web WMS.
  • MobileIn testingThe same read-only lists on a company phone. A phone’s browser can’t open the WMS.

The tablet and mobile apps are test builds on company devices, not public releases. On the floor today, a tablet’s browser is the device that records the steps.

Stage · damage · ship

One panel walks the cases out the door.

Open a reservation and the next step is ready: move the goods to a staging lane, mark what got damaged there, confirm what left on the truck. Each answer says exactly what changed, and what didn’t.

In testing

  • Staging isn’t shipping. Cases in the lane stay on hand until someone confirms the shipment.
  • Damage is held aside with what happened, and the cases still owed to the order stay in view.
  • Only usable cases in staging can ship. The panel lists each lane with what it holds.
  • Two people can’t ship the same cases: every step is checked against the reservation as it stands.

Corrections

Mistakes get corrected. History stays.

A floor makes mistakes and loses Wi‑Fi. Neither one rewrites what happened.

Correct a stepIn testing

Reverse the exact step, with a reason.

Choose the step from the reservation’s history and say why. The WMS saves the correction together with its physical stock change, and the original step stays in the history for anyone who looks later.

  • Return picked goods to stock
  • Release a damage hold after a second look
  • Record a shipment returned; the customer order confirms the reversal

Saved-step retryIn testing

The Wi‑Fi drops. The step waits.

Each step is kept in the browser before it’s sent. If the connection drops at the dock door, the same step waits with a Retry button, and nothing new starts until it lands. Sending it twice still records it once.

Orders and billing

The order keeps score.

Fulfillment and the books share one platform. Each shipment goes to the customer order, the order answers, and anything that doesn’t match waits in one queue until a person decides.

Order confirmationIn testing

Every shipment gets an answer.

When a shipment is saved, the customer order confirms it, or refuses it with a reason in plain words, and the reservation shows where each update stands. An answer that can’t be applied safely never quietly changes stock or the order: it waits in Attention with its evidence until someone with correction access settles it.

Quote · order · invoiceIn testing

From the accepted quote to the draft invoice.

Quotes, customer orders and invoices live in Accounting, on the same sign-in as the WMS. The order tracks what was ordered, fulfilled, still remaining and invoiced, line by line, and one button drafts an invoice for what was delivered and not yet billed.

Reserve and pick

Promise only what’s on the shelf.

Reserve stock for a customer order, a job or a project, from the lot you choose. Then send the floor out with pick lists in address order, grouped into waves, and pack what leaves in cartons.

ComingThe reservation rules already run inside the WMS, behind every reservation on this page. The screens to reserve stock and link it to an order line are coming, and so are pick lists, waves and packing.

  • No double promiseCases promised to one order can’t be promised to another, and the screen shows what’s left to promise.
  • Holds that expireA hold nobody confirms lets go by itself at the time you set.
  • Bound to a lotReserve from L-24-0917 and only L-24-0917 ships. A defect report on that lot stops its remaining reservations.
  • Linked to the order lineThe order line knows which stock is set aside for it, so the order and the shelf agree.

Load the trailer

A place for every pallet before the first one moves.

The trailer plan shows where each pallet sits and the order they go on, last stop at the nose. The TMS checks the plan’s gross weight against the truck’s rating, each pallet is scanned onto the trailer at the door, and the bill of lading lists what actually went on.

FAQ

Questions warehouses ask

Can my team run fulfillment from their phones?

Not in a phone’s browser: the WMS opens on computers and on tablets at 768 px and wider. The tablet and mobile apps show reservations and the Attention queue as read-only lists on company devices. Staging, damage, shipping and corrections are recorded in the web WMS, so a tablet at the staging lane is the floor device today.

Where do reservations come from?

From a customer order, a job or a project. The rules behind them already run in the WMS: no double promise, holds that expire, bound to a lot. The screen to reserve stock and link it to an order line is coming. Everything after the reservation (staging, damage, shipping and corrections) is in testing.

What happens if the Wi‑Fi drops while we confirm a shipment?

The step is kept in the browser before it’s sent. When the page comes back, it shows the same step waiting with a Retry button and won’t start another until that one lands. Sending the same step twice still records it once.

We’re a 3PL. Whose stock and whose order is it?

Each lot records its owner separately from you as the custodian, and orders are kept in Accounting on the same platform. Client accounts and automatic billing are coming; ship notices to your clients aren’t offered. The 3PL page has the detail.

Will the trailer plan check axle weights?

No. When trailer plans arrive, the TMS will compare the plan’s gross weight with the truck’s rating. Axle and kingpin weights still belong on a scale.

Can we print pick tickets and labels?

Pick lists on company tablets, pallet and bin labels, and camera scanning in the apps are coming. Connecting dedicated hardware scanners and label printers isn’t offered.

Ship from the same system that books the truck.
