One drive for the office. Shared by folder.

Rate cons, BOLs, permits and leases live in one company drive. Share a folder once and everything filed inside follows. Upload a new copy and the old one stays as a version.

Web · Tablet · Mobile

The whole drive on the web. The everyday part in the apps.

Sharing, versions, search and links happen in the web app, on a computer or in a tablet’s browser. The tablet and phone apps open, preview and upload.

Where it works

  • WebAvailableThe whole drive on a computer or in a tablet’s browser. Folders, sharing, uploads and PDF previews are live; search, restore, links and holds are in testing.
  • TabletIn testingBrowse My files, Shared with me, Recent, Starred and Trash. Open a file’s pages and upload one file up to 25 MB.
  • MobileIn testingThe same Files screen in the phone app. A phone’s browser opens share links, not the workspace.

The tablet and mobile apps are test builds on company devices, not in any app store. Search, sharing, new folders and versions stay on the web.

Sharing rolesAvailable

Share the folder once. Everything inside follows.

Give dispatch Editor on Loads and the bookkeeper Viewer on Insurance. Every rate con, BOL and certificate filed inside takes the same roles. Nobody shares file by file.

Four roles

Viewer
opens and downloads
Commenter
adds comments to documents
Editor
uploads, renames and adds versions
Manager
changes who has access and makes links

A share can raise someone’s role on one file. It never lowers what a parent folder already gives.

VersionsAvailable

Every upload kept. The first copy too.

Upload a corrected rate con and the earlier copies stay as versions, each with its date and size. Name the one that matters, like “As first received”, so nobody has to guess which copy came first.

  • AvailableEach upload kept as a version, with names
  • In testingPreview an earlier version, make it current, or compare two

Making an old version current brings its content back as a new version. Nothing is deleted, and you can go back the same way. A retention rule you set can clear older versions; named ones are kept.

Trash, retention and holdsIn testing

Trash waits 30 days. A hold waits for you.

Restore anything from the trash for 30 days. Signed agreements, documents filed by Accounting and anything under a legal hold stay, even when someone empties the trash. A retention rule sets how many versions to keep, or for how long.

  • A hold covers a file and every version of it
  • Each hold says who placed it and why
  • Retention history shows who set each rule

Tablet and phone appsIn testing

Pull up a permit in the cab. Upload a file from the yard.

The tablet and phone apps browse the same drive. Open a file’s pages, star it, move it to the trash or restore it, or open it in another app. In My files, upload one file up to 25 MB into the folder you’re in.

  • My files, Shared with me, Recent, Starred and Trash
  • A lock shows on files in a sealed folder, with no preview
  • Files over 25 MB upload from the web

Search, sharing, new folders and versions stay on the web. The apps are test builds on company devices, not in any app store.

FAQ

Questions offices ask

Can drivers open files from the truck?

In the tablet and phone apps, which are in testing on company devices and not in any app store. They browse the drive, show a file’s pages and upload one file up to 25 MB. Search, sharing and versions stay on the web. A phone’s browser can’t open the workspace, but it opens any share link.

What if someone uploads over the right copy?

The earlier copy stays as a version. Name the one that matters, like “As first received”. Making an older version current brings it back as a new version, so nothing is deleted. Restore and compare are in testing.

Can a broker or an auditor see a file without an account?

With a share link. Add a password and an end date, and choose whether they can download. Turn the link off at any time. Share links are in testing, and files in a sealed folder can’t be linked.

Is it encrypted? Can you read our files?

Every stored file is encrypted at rest, and each company’s files are kept apart. Our service holds the keys, so the platform itself is not locked out. Sealed folders limit who can open a folder in the app, and a legal hold still reaches them. A separate key for each company is coming.

How much can we store?

Storage tiers aren’t set yet. Files Home shows how much your company uses. Each file can be up to 100 MB from the web and 25 MB from the apps. Tell us your volume and we’ll talk it through.

Can we bring our files over from another drive?

There’s no import from another service. From the web, Upload a folder sends a whole folder at once, subfolders included, up to 100 MB per file.
